heavy|mate® – Compact

The heavy|mate® Compact series provides fixed pole contact inserts which can be integrated into standard housings or mounting adapters. The portfolio covers all common contact layouts of series D (up to 10A) and series E (up to 16A).

Standard interfaces can be installed efficiently using crimp contacts, or flexibly assembled in the field using push-in technology

Compared to other manufacturers, Amphenol offers the following advantages:

• Stamped & formed contacts supplied on reels – automation benefits and high process reliability compared to machined contacts

• Reduced use of metals – lower material costs and improved planning reliability

• Secure double crimp with high vibration resistance

• Self-cleaning contacts for more than 10,000 mating cycles

The portfolio also includes FE/KO inserts with a combination of iron and constantan contact elements. These are used as a connection between temperature sensors and control devices to improve temperature measurement accuracy.

Optionally, series D inserts can also be equipped with fiber optic (multimode) connection elements (N01 016 0040 8 / N02 016 0040 8).
